4.8 Based on 3,539 reviews

My writing is very direct because in Dutch we are direct haha. The editor softened some sentences so they sounded more academic. Helpful!

Femke van

I thought my dissertation was pretty much perfect before sending. It wasn't. There were over 300 tracked changes

Meera Rao

Top service, no fuss.

Mei Guo

The editor even noticed I misspelled my own university's name on the title page. Mortifying. Saved.

Marcus Francis

My thesis on African urban planning had lots of city and district names. The editor double checked the spellings of Nairobi estates. Didn't expect that level of care

Omondi Kamau

Good quality work, but I wish I had been able to choose the delivery time more flexibly

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our academic editing services

What types of documents do you edit?

We provide academic proofreading services and editing for essays, research papers, dissertations, theses, journal articles and systematic reviews.

How do I get a quote?

Choose the package that fits your work:

  • Basic Editing: grammar, language, clarity and readability (Undergraduate / Master's editors).
  • Advanced Academic Editing: deeper review of flow, structure and argument by PhD expert editors — ideal for dissertations, theses and journal articles.
  • Submission Ready Package: full editing plus complete formatting and an automated table of contents.

Send us your word count and deadline for a fixed quote before any work begins. New customers receive 50% off their first order.

How fast can you edit my document?

We offer flexible turnaround times to meet your deadlines:

  • Express (12-24 hours): For urgent paper editing and same day essay editing
  • Standard (3-5 days): Our most popular option
  • Economy (7-10 days): Best value for longer documents

The exact turnaround time depends on your document length and service type. We guarantee delivery by your chosen deadline and clearly state whether 24 hour dissertation editing is available for your project.

What's the difference between proofreading and editing?

Proofreading focuses on surface-level errors including grammar, spelling, punctuation, typos and minor formatting issues. It's the final polish before submission.

Heavy Editing goes deeper, improving sentence structure, clarity, flow, academic tone and overall coherence. It's ideal for ESL students or when you need significant improvements to your writing style.

Are your academic editors qualified?

Absolutely! All our academic editors are:

  • PhD holders or subject matter experts from top universities
  • Native English speakers with extensive academic writing experience
  • Specialized in specific academic fields (STEM, humanities, social sciences, etc.)
  • Trained in all major citation styles (APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard) and experienced with university paper formatting requirements

We match your document with an editor who has expertise in your specific subject area and document type (essay, dissertation, thesis, journal article, etc.).

Is my document kept confidential?

Yes, 100%! We take confidentiality very seriously:

  • All documents are encrypted and stored securely
  • We never share, publish, or reuse your work
  • Our editors sign strict non-disclosure agreements
  • Your personal information is protected under GDPR compliance
  • Documents are automatically deleted after 30 days (unless you request otherwise)
What if I'm not satisfied with the editing?

Your satisfaction is our priority! We offer:

  • Free unlimited revisions within 7 days of delivery
  • Money-back guarantee if you're not completely satisfied
  • Direct communication with your editor to address any concerns
  • Quality assurance review before final delivery

We're committed to ensuring your document meets the highest academic standards.

Can you help with APA, MLA or Harvard formatting?

Yes. We provide APA editing services, MLA formatting services and help with Harvard referencing.

Our editors can:

  • Fix citations in APA, MLA, Chicago and Harvard styles
  • Check your reference list against style rules
  • Act as a dissertation format checker for your university guidelines
  • Format your thesis or dissertation layout so it is consistent and submission-ready

We do not create sources for you—we only format and edit the references you provide.
