I had no idea my thesis had 14 different ways of writing "e.g." — now it has one

Good but a bit corporate in the emails. Would prefer a more personal touch. Work itself was good.

The editor's comments were funny at times which made going through them less painful. Also very accurate

Pretty good overall. A couple of the changes I rejected because they didnt suit my discipline (philosophy) but most were spot on.

Sent my 90k word PhD thesis on marine sediment chemistry expecting a basic grammar check. The editor noticed that my units switched between mg/L and ppm halfway through chapter 4. Nobody else caught that, not even my second supervisor.

The editor found that I'd copied my own paragraph from a previous assignment and forgot to reword it. Self plagiarism is a thing apparently. Phew

Honestly I was worried they'd judge my writing but the comments were always constructive

I told them my supervisor liked short paragraphs and they reorganised accordingly. Very adaptable
