What I liked most was they asked me questions before starting — which referencing style, British or American spelling, if my department had a template. Felt like they cared about getting it right, not just ticking it off

The editor flagged one of my key quotes as misattributed, it was actually from a different author in the same edited book. Would've been so embarrassing.

I'm really grateful to the editor for the gentle comments on my writing, I'm a sensitive person and it could have gone badly lol
