Better than I expected

Proofreading done to a very high standard. My MSc got a distinction

genuinely lovely people

They caught that I'd written "impact" as a verb 60 times and suggested alternatives. My supervisor hates that word

Great experience. Very human, not like dealing with a faceless company

The editor's comments were funny at times which made going through them less painful. Also very accurate

Engineering dissertation with a lot of equations, and they didn't break any of my Word equation objects. Sounds basic but a previous proofreader did exactly that.

They were honest with me that my conclusion was weak and suggested I speak to my supervisor about it rather than rewriting it themselves. Respect

Solid edit, but no weekend support. If you're on a tight deadline this matters

The editor noticed my participant numbers didn't add up between the methods and results chapters (n=112 vs n=121). Typo on my part but a marker would have hammered me for it.

Proofreading was good but I paid for 3 day turnaround and got it in 5. They refunded the difference which was fair

I am blind in one eye and reading long documents on screen gives me headaches. Getting a professional to do this was a big help.
